Deer Creek-Mackinaw CUSD #701 Students, Parents, and Stakeholders,
Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! I hope everyone had a fun and restful summer and is ready to begin another exciting and successful school year. Our staff of dedicated and highly qualified teachers, paraprofessionals, office, maintenance, transportation, food service, and administration are ready to help your student grow academically and personally. I appreciate the hard work that all district staff have put in over the past several months to get the buildings, buses, and classrooms ready to serve all of our students.
Dee-Mack has a strong partnership between our homes, schools, and community which is the key to the district’s success. We are committed to an environment of accountability and expect the same from all our students, parents, and community members. We will teach, reinforce, and hold stakeholders to the standards of respect, hard work, collaboration, and resilience. Harassment, violence, threats, and destructive behavior by and directed at students, staff, or stakeholders has no place at Dee-Mack and will be addressed accordingly.
To ensure a professional process for addressing concerns, we ask that you follow the established chain of command, beginning with your child’s teacher, then the building principal, and finally, the district office. When dealing with concerns the Dee-Mack standard is professionalism from both our staff and our stakeholders. Discussions will be solution focused with mutual respect to provide all students with the best possible outcomes.
I also want to remind everyone of our transportation policies, which are in place for the safety of all students. Students will remain seated, keep their voices low, and refrain from horse play or throwing objects. A key rule to remember is that there is no eating or drinking on school buses. In addition to the risk of students choking and keeping the buses clean, there are students in the district with severe allergies who could have life threatening medical emergencies due to exposure to certain foods. We appreciate your mutual cooperation in helping us make this a successful and safe year for every student who rides district buses.
Dee-Mack, like all other schools in the state, is in desperate need of bus drivers for regular routes and sub drivers. If you have time in your busy schedule and can help, please consider getting a bus license. If you are interested or have questions please contact District Transportation Director Jackie Adams. Any and all help is appreciated.
Dee-Mack offers a large variety of extra-curricular opportunities for our students. Whether you are interested in fine arts, leadership opportunities through clubs, academic challenges, or sports there is an opportunity for every student. We encourage all students to find an activity that interests them at school. Please reach out to our sponsors, coaches, and administration if you have questions about what Dee-Mack has to offer.
I am honored to serve as your new superintendent. I am looking forward to getting to know the students, parents, and community members that make Dee-Mack a special place. Thank you, parents, for trusting us to educate your children. We will not take for granted the privilege we have to educate and inspire the future of the Dee-Mack community. Go Chiefs!
Sincerely,
Brian M. Maloy
Superintendent
