Statement:
Deer Creek-Mackinaw CUSD# 701 is
dedicated to the social, emotional,
and academic growth of all students.
District
Profile:
Deer Creek-Mackinaw CUSD #701 is located
in Tazewell and Woodford Counties in
Central Illinois about sixteen miles
southeast of Peoria and eighteen miles
west of Bloomington. According to the
School District Data Book Profile
(as found on the Internet), there are
4,243 individuals living within the
school district boundaries. A
review of the residency of inhabitants
documents that 370 live on farms and
3873 live in a rural non-farm setting.
This rural community includes the towns
of Mackinaw, Deer Creek, and a housing
development located outside the city
limits, Heritage Lake. A majority
of the working population travels to
Peoria or Bloomington for employment.
No employee, student, parent, or any
other person having affiliation with
Deer Creek-Mackinaw Community Unit
School District No. 701 shall on the
